TechDAS Air Force IV
The TechDAS Air Force IV incorporates the brand’s renowned pneumatic technologies, including an air bearing system that isolates the platter and record from external vibrations, as well as a vacuum LP hold-down system that firmly couples the record to the platter surface.
These technologies significantly reduce unwanted noise and resonance, allowing the Air Force IV to achieve exceptional analog playback performance with outstanding clarity, dynamics, and signal-to-noise ratio.
Developed from the technologies used in TechDAS flagship turntables, the Air Force IV combines compact dimensions with advanced engineering to deliver a true high-end vinyl listening experience.
Precision Machined One-Piece Platter
At the heart of the Air Force IV is a precision-machined one-piece platter made from solid A5056 aluminum alloy. Weighing 8.7 kg, the platter works in conjunction with the air bearing system to provide an extremely low noise floor and exceptional rotational stability.
A specially designed tapered spindle helps absorb movement caused by off-center records, while a damping and anti-static platter mat protects vinyl records and further reduces unwanted resonances.
Advanced Isolation & Drive System
The Air Force IV utilizes a low-vibration external 2-phase 4-pole AC synchronous motor mounted separately from the main chassis to minimize mechanical interference.
A double-side polished polyester flat belt, identical to those used in higher-end Air Force models, ensures smooth torque delivery and rapid acceleration of the heavy platter.
The turntable is supported by four suspension feet incorporating specialized damping materials that effectively isolate the system from external vibrations.
Despite its compact footprint, the Air Force IV supports up to three tonearms, offering exceptional flexibility for advanced analog setups.
