The SA 1550 is a slim 2.5-way floorstanding loudspeaker featuring a vertically aligned five-driver configuration. The tweeter is positioned between two mid/low-frequency drivers in a D’Appolito arrangement, while the lower pair operates exclusively in the bass range.
The system utilizes dual rear bass-reflex ports, tuned to a shared internal volume. When driven via the lower terminals, only the bass drivers are active, while the midrange units function as passive radiators.
The cabinet includes a dedicated ballast chamber at the base for improved mechanical stability. It is mounted on a plinth with threaded supports and rests on four isolation points. A removable grille can be attached via rear-mounted grooves. The enclosure is finished in high-quality lacquered veneer, available in multiple finishes.
