Pangea Audio Premier Headphone Extension Cable
Longer cable without the compromise
Pangea designed this extension cable to give you more room to listen to your headphones, without sacrificing performance. They use a patented combination of conductors to keep crosstalk and electronic noise from degrading the sound. Cardas Grade One copper helps ensure a strong signal on the inside, while the durable nylon outer lining protects the vitals from scratches, rubbing, or abrasions.
Designed by Jay Victor, a veteran high-end cable designer, the Pangea headphone extension cable uses Cardas Grade One Copper conductors, premium connectors, advanced polyethylene insulation, and a high-quality nylon braided jacket that will last for years.
The Premier Headphone Extension Cable has gold-plated 1/4″ (6.35mm) male and female connectors, and comes in 15-foot length.
Copper Conductors:
The Pangea Premier Headphone Extension Cable’s conductors are made with Cardas Grade One Copper, which can be found in other high-end audio cables. The copper is mined in Arizona, and shipped to a factory in New England for processing and refining. It goes through a paintakingly slow reduction annealing process to purify the copper for making phono cartridges, premium transformers, and audio cables. Conductors in two different wire gauges (solid core and multistrand) are wound together in a proprietary (and patented) pattern to minimize loss and other negative effects.
Break-in Period:
The designer and manufacturer recommend playing audio through the cable at moderate levels for at least 24 hours before using. This break-in period helps to condition the cable, making the audio smoother with more detail.
