This product has been developed in order to reproduce music as lifelike and pure as possible. We are protectionists of the minimalist and extremely puristic construction/assembling. A lot of parts or devices will not automatically mean a better sound: less often is more. This can also be said for correction and regulating circuits, which will be applied only if absolutely necessary or if they do not have any negative sound effects. Otherwise we prefer other possibilities.
The entire new development has been effected with great efforts: the foil and the coating, the transformers as well as the inner wiring are completely new and had been determined and optimized in particular listening tests. A very costy and longsome issue, but the result shows, that it was worth for.
Nevertheless other tuning measures (e.g. bases or feet by Audio Exklusiv) will be able to optimize the sound.
The P 3.1 is a full-range electrostatic loudspeaker, that means the whole frequency range is to be reproduced by one foil without a dynamic subwoofer. Because things such as homogeneity, space reproduction and resolution can be reached in the best way with such a method we decided to use the same concept that had been applied for the legendary forerunner. The reference has of course been our legendary electrostatic loudspeaker P 3. But some deciding and important points had to be improved and at the same time some prejudices had to be eliminated.
