A superb project, the ultimate in Pathos technology enclosed in an integrated amplifier, which takes the listening philosophy developed over 25 years by the company to its extreme consequences, both in terms of choice of components and absolute performance of this masterpiece.

 

 

 

 

We have not set ourselves limits

At Pathos we have set ourselves an ambitious goal: to create the best Pathos integrated amplifier ever, which is able to match, if not surpass, the InPower and Adrenalin monophonics.

In designing the new InPoL Legacy, we therefore set no limits – first and foremost in terms of weight and size, which we have previously always tried to contain.

The result is greater determination, never abrupt but well controlled. The large intensity ranges are sensitive to the smallest variations: compared to other Pathos amplifiers, InPoL Legacy can boast greater dynamics and a full, complete, defined sound.

The Pathos listening philosophy is expressed in the soft, sweet, effortless sound of listening. We have also improved the nuances, thanks to the choice of excellent quality components, without any compromise.

 

 

 

 

InPoL Soul

At the heart of InPoL Legacy is the patented dual InPoL technology, in a bridged configuration, combined with a tube stage.

InPoL® (Linear Pump Tracker) was created to develop an amplification stage without reverse feedback, with limited distortion and a satisfactory attenuation factor. A MOSFET tracker was used for this, with a hypothetical voltage gain of 1 and a high current gain.

The polarization is in pure class A to avoid crossing distortions. InPoL technology allows you to increase the theoretical efficiency in pure class A from 25% to 50%.

The dual InPoL configuration allows for increased power while keeping the circuit size down. The amplifier is fully balanced, which results in a significant reduction in noise and distortion.

Tube voltage amplification characterizes the sound of InPoL amplifiers, rich, warm, never tiring.

 

 

 

 

Features

The InPoL Legacy is a fully balanced dual mono amplifier.

The power supply is derived from Adrenalin and InPower, with one capacitive inductive filter per channel. The two power toroidal transformers are the largest we’ve ever made. If previously we have always contained the size and weight of the amplifier, in this case we have not set ourselves limits. Like the entire InPoL Legacy structure, the power supply to the tubes is also separate, with a toroidal transformer for each channel.

The tubes are in a totem pull configuration, which uses 2 x ECC803s TungSol and 1 x 6H30 per channel. All power supplies are stabilized, filtered and dissipated. The high-quality cabling is shielded.

The 100-step passive volume is regulated by low-noise precision resistors using insulated relay switches. The input and output connections are Neutrik and WBT.

InPoL Legacy weighs 140 kg. To facilitate movement and installation, Pathos engineers have designed a special packaging, equipped with wheels. To properly place InPoL Legacy on your cabinet, a set of brackets is included to make it easy to lift the amplifier. Since not all furniture can support this weight, Pathos has designed a piece of furniture dedicated specifically to InPoL Legacy.
