It improves the sound by preventing the record from slipping during the playback process and reducing unwanted resonances.
In addition, it increases the service life of the LP and that of the scanning needle due to the better stability of the LP.
Due to the low dead weight, the plate clamp is gentler on sensitive platter bearings, better for synchronization and is ideally suited for subchassis players.
