A clean and stable power supply is a key to the optimal sound quality of a HiFi amplifier!
With the optionally available ASR battery power supply of the Emitter-Exclusive family, the listening pleasure can be further increased. Thus, the musical qualities of the emitters reach even higher dimensions and the spatiality of good recordings becomes more tangible. Finest detailed information, such as the “air” around the instruments, is perceived not only acoustically, but also physically.
Thanks to the inner dynamics of an ASR Emitter Exclusive with battery power supply, you can hear and feel the sound of good recordings like “Live” and listening to music becomes a thrilling listening experience! The reproduction always remains homogeneous, powerful and sovereign!
The function of the battery power supply in detail
- When the emitters are switched off, the batteries are charged until they are completely filled, the input amplifier stage is not supplied. This means that the warm-up phase up to the optimal music yield can take some time, as with any other amplifier.
- In standby mode, the batteries are charged, while the input amplifier stage is permanently supplied with a very low voltage, because this already preheats the components most relevant to the sound. So you can enjoy your music fully and lossless immediately after switching on from standby mode after just a few minutes. There is no increased wear.
- After switching on the emitter from OFF/standby mode, the battery power supply is completely disconnected from the mains. The input amplifier stage is thus supplied with “clean” battery power without interference from the power grid.
The capacity of the batteries is so generously dimensioned that the input amplifier stage of the emitters can be operated more than “100 operating hours” continuously from the batteries!
The ASR battery power supply is connected to the amplifier part with a separate cable. The charging circuit is digitally controlled with a disturbance-free optical logic. The plus/minus 18 volts supplied by the batteries are buffered with 428,000 uF HV Elkos.
The charge level of the batteries is shown in the display with a chain of 10 LEDs.
After about 6 – 10 years, you will notice from the LEDs (charge status) that the batteries discharge a little faster over time. But then you still have enough time to contact us so that you either get new battery batteries for self-instalment (is easy) delivered, or send us the battery power supply to refresh the company. The cost of renewing the batteries is low.
