FAQ - Hints for using Phono Box USB V  

Q: Does the device support Windows 10?  

A: The device is fully compatible with Windows 10. It may be necessary to reinstall latest drivers after updating from Windows 7/8/8.1 to Windows 10.  

Q: Does a driver exist for the Phono Box USB V?  

A: You do not need a driver for Windows-, Mac OSX or Linux-Systems.  

The driver is already integrated in the operating system.  

Q: Phono Box USB V will not be recognized by Mac OSX and is not available under Audio. What can I do?  

A: Turn off your Computer and press at start alt+cmd+p+r until another starting sound appears. With this command the USB bus will be reset and the USB Box will be recognized new.  

Q: Why is there no sound coming from my Apple computer when I am using the Phono Box USB V as a record source while the internal soundcard or the S/PDIF connection of the Apple computer is configured as playback source.  

A: For playback while recording at the Apple computer, the additional tool "LineIn" is necessary since OS X 10.

Q: Is it recommended to use the analogue output (Out) for listening, when a Line input source is connected to Phono Box USB V?  

A: No. When using the Line input (3,5mm jack) on the Phono Box USB V we do not recommend using the analogue RCA output to listen to the source. The RCA output is only for use with a turntable source that has been connected to the RCA phono input. The Line input is only fully supported when transferring the audio signal over USB to a computer for recording.
